November 2016 Referral SpamReferral Spam in Analytics, a.k.a. “Fake Traffic” has been annoying us for a while now, and it’s still a problem, ESPECIALLY for small businesses.

If you have less than 1000 visitors a month, often nearly half the supposed traffic to a website is fake!

After reviewing nearly 20 client accounts for the past month, any new suspicious domains have been added to my Google Analytics referral spam exclusion segment.

This segment should remove 100% of your referral spam. Download it directly from the Google Solution Gallery.
